Transition House, Inc. is a long-term residential,
aftercare recovery program where homeless persons
learn the life skills and acquire the support needed to become sober, independent and productive
members of our community. Our 3/4 houses are located throughout Metro Atlanta. We are a non-profit
501 (c) (3) organization that relies on assistance from volunteers, corporations, foundations and government
agencies to continue our important work.
Transition House‘s structured, drug and alcohol-free environment includes:
- Comfortable, Safe Housing
- Counseling and Case Management
- Reduced-cost MARTA Cards
- Phone Service
- Utilities
- Certified AOD Addiction Counselors

- Supportive Recovery Services
- Savings Program
- Dedicated Professional Staff
- Alumni Program

Men,
women and women with children are eligible to enter the program if they are verifiably homeless
by HUD guidelines and have abstained from alcohol and / or drugs for at least 30 days.
Transition House receives support from individuals, churches and private foundations. It also
receives major funding from the Veterans' Administration, FEMA, Fulton County, City of Atlanta,
